As a conceptual figurative artist, Ms. Balleweg seeks to present people, and the scenes in which they find themselves, in a way that lets the viewer tell the story of the painting. Perhaps the viewer will see more than one story- each one equally plausible. She also strives to create an image as a whole that speaks to a shared aspect of human nature and the world in which we live.
